Flora, Nude by Aristide Maillot
The Cullen Sculpture Garden at Houston's Museum of Fine Arts is a quiet little respite with about 25 or so sculptures.Â
Over time I have taken photos of most of the sculptures in the garden. The sculptures are contemporary (20th century) in nature with works by artists such as Calder, Matisse, and Miro. The oldest sculpture in the garden is a Rodin dating from 1899.
Flora, Nude, this sculpture, is one of several sculptures that Aristide Maillot made of Flora, a Roman Goddess of Flowers and Spring. Here I just had a little fun choosing three views of Flora's face.Â
