The electric grid is important — and it is everywhere. This network of power assures that every part of the country has electricity. In large cities such as Houston, the high voltage lines held aloft by spindly, tall towers run hither and yon making sure all of the area's 7 plus million people have all the power they need for their toasters, their televisions, and of course their air-conditioners. This photo was taken at the edge of a municipal park where the high-power lines run past the backyards of a small housing sub-division. You really just can't get away from The Grid.
The photo was taken at an angle looking up such that the towers appear to be floating above the ground. Creating it into a monochrome image and using a reverse vignette emphasizes this illusion (I hope).
